Account information. Email address, and optionally a display name, if you create an account. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
Preferences. Favorite topics, notification settings, display settings (theme, text size, etc.), and — only if you explicitly enable location-based features like Local News — your approximate location.
Activity. Bookmarks, reading history, video interactions (likes/saves), followed creators, and search queries (search queries are logged even when signed out, without being tied to your identity).
Ask Concord questions. When you ask Concord a question about a story, your question text and the relevant story data are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response (see “Third parties” below).
Technical data. Standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and rate-limiting purposes.
We don't sell your personal information. We don't run third-party advertising trackers. As of this writing, no third-party analytics tooling is active on Concord — if that changes, this policy will be updated first to say exactly what's enabled and what it collects.
Concord uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in (httpOnly, and secure in production — it isn't readable by page scripts and isn't used for tracking). Display preferences (theme, text size, etc.) are stored in your browser's local storage and are not sent to any third party.
Story analysis and Ask Concord responses are generated by third-party AI providers (which vary and may include Groq, Hugging Face, Cloudflare Workers AI, Ollama, and others). Publicly available article text — and, for Ask Concord, your typed question — is sent to whichever provider is handling that request. These providers process the request and do not receive your account information.
Video content in Concord Pulse is embedded from YouTube, which has its own privacy practices governing that embedded player.
You can review and change your preferences at any time in Settings, disconnect location access, and delete bookmarks or reading history. Contact us to request a copy of your data or full account deletion.
